Numelvi Tablets

NUMELVI^™ (atinvicitinib tablets) is a prescription medication for the control of itch associated with allergic dermatitis in dogs. Numelvi starts working in as little as 2 to 4 hours^1* to relieve itch and deliver the comfort your dog deserves. Numelvi is given once daily with food at or around mealtime and is labeled for use in dogs and puppies 6 months of age and older.

NUMELVI is not for use in dogs less than 6 months of age or those with serious infections. NUMELVI may increase susceptibility to opportunistic infections, including demodicosis and interdigital furunculosis. Consider the risks and benefits of treatment prior to initiating NUMELVI in dogs with a history of recurrent demodicosis. NUMELVI is a JAK inhibitor. New neoplastic conditions (benign and malignant) have been reported in dogs treated with other JAK inhibitors. The effectiveness and safety of NUMELVI have not been evaluated in a field study beyond 28 days. The safe use of NUMELVI has not been evaluated in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs, nor in combination with glucocorticoids, cyclosporine, or other systemic immunosuppressive agents. NUMELVI (atinvicitinib tablets) is available in four strengths: 4.8 mg, 7.2 mg, 21.6 mg, and 31.6 mg per tablet. Each tablet strength is available in 30 and 90 count bottles.

Please ensure the selected product and quantity are appropriate for your pet, as recommended by your veterinarian. For current availability, please refer to the product selection above.

Numelvi should be given orally, once daily, as prescribed by your veterinarian. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water immediately after handling the medication. Please consult your veterinarian before making any changes or discontinuing the prescribed dosing schedule.

Numelvi should be administered with food.

Contact your veterinarian if your pet’s condition worsens or does not improve after starting the medication.

Store in a cool, dry place at a controlled room temperature (59 to 86°F). Keep NUMELVI in a secure location out of reach of children and animals to prevent accidental ingestion or overdose.

Exposure to extreme temperatures, light, or moisture can affect the integrity and effectiveness of medications. Always store this medication properly (e.g., away from the bathroom, kitchen sink, or other damp places).

As with all drugs, side effects may occur; the most common side effects of this medication are vomiting, nausea, otitis externa (outer ear infection), hematuria (blood in the urine), and decreased appetite.

Contact your veterinarian immediately if you notice signs of an infection (e.g., coughing/wheezing, bleeding or oozing skin sores, painful/frequent urination, etc.), any new and abnormal skin changes/growths, or enlargement of existing skin masses.

This product is not for human use. Keep this and all drugs out of reach of children and animals. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water immediately after handling tablets. In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical attention immediately.

Do not administer this medication to animals with a known or suspected allergy/hypersensitivity to it or any of its ingredients. Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Please inform Vetsource and your veterinarian if your pet has any known sensitivities or allergies, especially to medications and supplements.

If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, discontinue therapy and call your veterinarian immediately or seek emergency veterinary attention. Symptoms may include (but are not limited to): swollen lips, tongue, face, or airways; difficulty breathing; agitation; profuse salivation; and widespread hives or itching.

There are no clinically relevant drug or food interactions documented for this product.

The following drugs* may have potential interactions with this medication: cyclosporine, glucocorticoids (e.g., dexamethasone, prednisone), and other systemic immunosuppressive agents (e.g., mycophenolate).

Please ensure your veterinarian is aware of all medications, supplements, and over-the-counter (OTC) products that your pet is currently using. Your veterinarian may prescribe multiple medications, even if a potential drug interaction may occur. In these instances, your veterinarian may adjust the dosages or monitor your pet more closely.
